Project Narrative

“Kampung Lucky: Blueprints of a Lucky Life” merges the vibrancy of city-life experiences with the warmth of communal harmony, offering older adults opportunities for self-sustenance, authentic cross-generational engagement, and entrepreneurship. By retrofitting existing point-block and slab-block HDB apartments, the estate’s architectural fabric gains renewed vitality, while senior residents discover a rejuvenated sense of purpose through independently managed activities, neighborhood-run businesses, and shared initiatives. Lush green spaces, sky terraces, and communal decks encourage activities to spill seamlessly into corridors, fostering everyday movement, social interaction, and mutual support. Within this evolving environment, older adults remain central participants—living well, socializing well, working well, and redefining urban life for generations to come.
